The platform has two environments, Production and Demo, and a space's cloud is connected per environment. The space page shows both side by side: PROD Cloud (violet) and DEMO Cloud (amber), whatever environment the console is switched to.
- One Firebase project serves one environment. A project id is the same on both environments, so two environments writing into one Firebase project would collide; connecting a project that is already bound on the other environment is refused.
- Only Production connected: Production projects keep their data in your cloud; Demo projects of the space stay in the shared demo cloud. The wizard on Demo says so.
- Both connected: use two Firebase projects — for example
acme-prodandacme-demo, each with its own key. - Demo copies: syncing a project from Production to Demo reads from your Production cloud and writes into the other environment's shared cloud; copying into a Demo cloud is not available yet.
- Tier: the Enterprise requirement is checked per environment, on the plan that environment's projects have.
