CRM & Studio at inmake.dev is where a project is managed: its products and orders, its content and files, its web pages, its team, its plan. Everything you see there is also reachable through the API, the SDK and the MCP server — CRM & Studio is one client of the same platform.
Signing in#
Sign in with a magic link (enter your e-mail, open the link) or with Google. Completing a link for a new address creates the account; there is no separate registration. Your account belongs to CRM & Studio's own user pool, independent of any project's tokens.
A new account answers one question first — Personal or Business — which creates its space (named after you, or after the company); every project lives in one. Skip for now defers it to the project wizard. Accounts invited into somebody else's space skip it.
Projects and roles#
After sign-in you land on the project launcher — the projects you are a member of. A project's owner or admin invites members under Settings › Members and gives each a role:
| Role | Reach |
|---|---|
| Owner / Admin | Managers — the whole project, the roster, plan and tokens. |
| Editor | Scoped by a per-capability access map: commerce, content, community, generative, web, develop — each read or write. A missing capability hides that part of CRM & Studio. |
Platform roles (master / administrator / developer) sit above this for the people who run the platform.
Production and Demo#
Every project exists on both environments (see Environments). CRM & Studio follows one environment at a time; the top bar turns blue on Demo so a Demo session is unmistakable, and the URL carries the choice (#/d/store/…) so a refresh or a shared link keeps it. Demo needs the Demo grant on your membership (managers give it under Team › Access) or a platform role — everyone else is pinned to Production.
The seven areas#
Inside a project the left rail has seven areas; each opens a pane of pages:
| Area | Pages |
|---|---|
| Home | Overview (the widget dashboard), Activity |
| Studio | Studio, Design system, Elements, Code |
| Website | Site: Web, Hosting, Cookie consent, Spam protection · Search engines: Search defaults, structured data, indexing, URLs · Analytics: Traffic |
| Data | Content, Media, Tags, Categories, Wording, Forms |
| Shop | Orders & billing: Orders, Invoices, Carts · Catalog: Products, Stock · Customers & promotions: Customers, Credits & coupons |
| Modules | Catalog and installed modules |
| Settings | Project: Project details, Members, Plan, Pinned menu · Payments & shipping: Payments, Carriers · Content structure: Schemas, Templates · System: Setup, Backups, Advanced |
Website, Shop and Settings split their pages into titled groups in the pane. Which pages you see depends on your role's capabilities — every project has every area; a group whose pages you can't see is left out.
Sending feedback or reporting a bug#
The speech-bubble button at the foot of the left rail, just above the environment badge, opens a short form: pick Feedback, Feature request, Bug or Assistant (for something the AI assistant did), give it a title and a description, and send. On a phone the same entry is in the Menu sheet. The report goes to the platform team — it is not visible to other members of your project, and you cannot read it back once it is sent.
Each report carries the project and environment you were in, the page you sent it from, the console's version and your browser, so you do not need to describe where you were. Platform administrators triage reports under Feedback reports in the account menu.
Conventions#
- Every list has a filter button in its header and paginates with Load more; the footer shows
loaded / total. - Every save shows a toast; a failed load shows a banner above the page.
- The assistant column on editors (Studio, documents, design, templates) is an AI agent that writes through the same API you would — it is metered per turn against the project's credits.
- The floating quick bar at the top right carries the account menu (profile, Display as a member, theme, language) the View site button (opens your published site from any page; greyed out, with the reason in its tooltip, until web hosting is enabled and the site is published), Upgrade plan for managers on the Free plan, and page shortcuts such as Open page.
