Media

The file browser and image handling.

Data › Media is the file browser over the project's bucket: folders, uploads (drag and drop, multiple), previews, rename, move, delete. Images get an on-upload manifest (sizes, dominant colour) that the renderer uses for responsive srcsets; a crop dialog produces derived images.

Uploads run through a queue panel above the files: one file at a time, each with its progress, speed and a cancel button; you can keep dropping files while it runs, and an upload keeps going while you work on another page. Files up to 1 GB are accepted. Anything above 4 MB is sent straight to the project's storage in resumable chunks, so a dropped connection resumes on its own. If the page is reloaded or closed mid-upload, the folder shows An upload of … was interrupted: drop the same file again and it continues where it stopped, or choose Discard. Replacing a file works the same way and keeps the current file intact until the new one is complete.

Files are referenced from documents by their bucket-relative path; the storefront serves them same-origin through the render server's asset route (a file above 16 MB is answered with a redirect to storage instead, which streams it and lets videos seek), so a moved or deleted file invalidates the pages that used it (the files hook).
